Sewing Saturday: Cloth Diapers

I've been a busy bee lately! Well, I feel like I have at least. Not only have we been homeschooling but I've hired on a couple helpers. I will tell you about them at a later date. One of my goals this year is to increase the number of in stock ready to ship cloth diapers and diaper covers. I'm well on my way to achieving that goal!

I've got boxes filled with the different sizes just waiting for me to begin sewing them. One of my helpers is responsible for helping me get so many things cut! There are some really fun prints and some basics. There are single diapers and diaper sets. There's just a little bit of everything. I'm excited to see so much happening to quickly!

I love what I do and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! Hopefully I can show off some of the finished products soon! :)

A New Blog Schedule

Here's my 2012 new blog schedule!

This is more of a 'suggestion' for me to stay organized with. I probably won't post every day but just as I have time and a topic.

  • Mission Mondays: I will have several missions going on in 2012 and will post about them on this day
  • Tutorial Tuesdays: posts about tutorials that I've done or have found online
  • Wordless Wednesdays: a photo post with no words
  • Anything Goes Thursdays: self explanatory
  • Fitness Fridays: progress on my fitness and weight loss goals
  • Sewing Saturdays: posts about projects I've completed or am working on
  • Deal of the Week Sundays: posts with info about sales or deals in my shop or other small business owners shops

I have really appreciated each and every one of you readers, you make my blog what it is!

Organizing My Work Space: Order Baskets

Here's a tip for those that have a sewing business (or just a bunch of WIP's~ works in progress's).

I have finally found a way to organize that works for me. I have these canvas baskets that I bought from Walmart awhile ago. They used to hold all my scrap fabrics but I've done a serious destashing lately (use, toss, or donate). Things have greatly pared down leaving me with empty baskets.

I decided they'd be the perfect way to organize my current orders or projects. I put everything I need inside the basket and on the outside I pin a piece of paper that has all the information I need (what it is, date started, to-do's, etc).

Doing this has really sped up my process and allowing me to accomplish even more!
