Pink Houndstooth Purse

Yesterday, I showed off my new pink and white houndstooth halter top. Today, I want to show off the purse that goes with it. :) I've made this purse style several times and the more I make of them the fast I'm getting at sewing them up. The inside has a slip pocket and a zipper pocket and the bottom has plastic canvas hidden inside to give it a stiffer base. The bag is a nice big size that can carry lots of stuff!

Melinda's Batik Taormina Purse

This new purse was created for my younger son's preschool teacher. She loved the purse I made for myself and wanted one just like it. I picked out the fabric for her since she had such a hard time envisioning it completed in anything other then the fabric I used on mine. I told her to trust me and that it would turn out great. And she loves it! She said it turned out better then she could ever hope. She also says it's too nice to use everyday so it's her 'Sunday Purse'. :)
