This one size (OS) diaper generally fits 9-42+lbs depending on the build of your child. For example, some toddlers who are skinny can even fit it to 45lbs. where a super short chubby toddler may only fit to 40lbs etc. There are 4 rise settings to fit a very wide range of sizes. Rises are approximately Newborn 14.5"; Small 16"; Medium 17.5"; Large 19".

This OS diaper is an all in 2 (AI2) that comes with 2 detachable soaker/inserts with with heavy duty zorb sandwiched between 2 layers of cozy flannel. The contoured soaker snaps and folds in half at the different size settings. The additional doubler is for the medium and large settings and also can be an optional smaller NB Insert on it's own. It's great for babies for nap and nighttime and for babies/toddlers who are super wetters.

The diaper is fully lined in waterproof PUL with resin snaps for closures.

What is PUL?
- A laminated interlock fabric with specially-treated 2-mil polyurethane film using a unique thermal process without toxic solvents. 
-It is CPSIA certified & contains no lead, BPA, phthalates or other harmful chemicals.

What is Zorb? 
-Absorbs 10 times its weight in under 2 seconds and soaks up 20 times faster than other materials (bamboo, cotton hemp knits)
-Super-absorbent hypoallergenic fabric that's ideal for increasing product performance and supporting the environment

The diapers should fit babies 6 to 12 pounds. This weight measurement is just an estimate as all babies are made differently. If your little one is on the lower end of the weight range I suggest adding an additional soaker pad to help the cloth diaper fit more snugly.

The cloth diapers are a fitted cloth diaper. It's side wings fold in toward the center creating extra soaker layers but unfold in the wash for faster cleaning and drying time. It has 2 layers of absorbent flannel and an outer decorative fabric. There are snaps across the front, the legs and back have elastic sewn inside for a great fit and the edges are serged for a clean finished look! 

The diaper covers features a double row of snap closures. It is edged in stretchy fold-over-elastic (FOE) with interior leg gussets sewn in and is fully lined in polyurethane laminate (PUL- a waterproof diaper making material) to ensure a leak free diaper experience.

Cloth Diaper Measurements:
• Front to back (rise/down the center) = 13 inches
• Across the front= 7 inches
• Across the back= 13 inches un-stretched and 16 inches stretched
• Waist= 14 to 19 inches in circumference

Cloth Diaper Measurements:
• Front to back (rise/down the center) = 15 inches
• Across the front= 8.5 inches
• Across the back= 12.5 inches un-stretched and 16.5 inches stretched

Taking Care of Your Wool Nursing Pads

How To Care For Your Nursing Pads

For most women, two pairs of woolen nursing pads are all you'll ever need.

When your pads feel wet, or at least daily, let them dry while wearing a second pair. Place them to dry, preferably, over a mild heat source, such as a mildly warm radiator or on top of a running dryer. The use of dry heat is important, especially if you live in a humid climate, since natural wool can absorb up to 40% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet. Wash untreated wool as seldom as possible. The natural lanolin content of the wool keeps it hygienic - as the wool absorbs moisture, the lanolin is converted to lanolin-soap, which has an antibacterial effect. The moisture evaporates away and only the milk solids are left. Eventually, depending on how much leakage you have, the pads will begin to feel "stiff" or you'll notice white powdery milk spots. Then you will need to wash them.

Wash As Follows

For best results, allow the pads to dry before washing.

Gently rub the stiffened area between your knuckles, to break up the milk particles. Wash by hand in lukewarm water with mild hair shampoo (cleans without stripping lanolin from the wool) or LANACare Lanolin Soap to replenish the lanolin content of the wool (recommended to use approximately every fifth washing to maintain the wool's antibacterial effect). Use just enough soap to keep the water mildly sudsy. Swish the pads gently in the water. When using Lanolin Soap, let the pads soak in the sudsy water for 5-10 minutes.

Rinse in lukewarm water. Always use lukewarm water when washing and rinsing wool. Both hot and cold water can shock the wool fibers, resulting in shrinkage of the wool.

Place or roll your pads into a towel, pressing out the excess water. Lay pads to dry, preferably over a mild heat source.

Boiling Your Pads

Boiling of the pads is recommended for women diagnosed with breast yeast infections. Occasional boiling is also recommended for women living in humid climates, where drying the pads thoroughly can be more difficult.

Boil your pads by this special method only! The key is to not expose the wool to extreme temperature changes.

Place the pads in a pot with lukewarm water. Gradually bring the water, with pads, to a gentle boil. Let boil for 10 minutes, using a spoon to periodically push the pads under the surface of the water. They tend to float to the top. Avoid stirring or agitating the pads. Remove the pot from the heat. Do not remove pads from the water. Let the water with the pads cool to lukewarm.

 After boiling, the lanolin content of the wool must be replenished. Using 1 Tblsp. Lanolin Soap, wash the pads as directed under "Wash As Follows".

Peacock Caplet

This past summer, I began experimenting with dying yarn. For this yarn I combined several different blues and a deep purple to create the peacock colorway.
It turned out really well!

 I really wanted to make something with the peacock yarn that I could wear in the fall to my college classes. I found a pretty simple caplet that knit up quickly. You can find the Traveler's Cape on Ravelry. I did add the extra cable down the center back to mimic the front cables but otherwise the pattern is the same. I completed it just in time in late summer to wear once it started cooling down.
