Juggling Act
Sometimes mothers seem to be in a constant juggling act. There is the kids, laundry, cleaning, cooking, work, etc. It can be difficult to keep up!
My plate has been extremely full lately. It can be completely overwhelming sometimes. It makes it even harder to not have the help at home because your other half is a world away on deployment. Holding down the fort at home is no tea party.
I've had to make some tough choices lately. I really wanted to homeschool my older son but it's just not going to happen. We probably won't be homeschooling at all anymore. So that is off my plate. Then there was an awesome job offer that I turned down. I was going to work for a costume company creating some fun works of art… ballet and dance competition outfits, cheerleader uniforms (think pro football & schools), etc. Unfortunately, I don't think I have enough arms to juggle with. I decided to not add that to my plate, even though it is something that I want to do. That was such a hard decision! The company owner was completely understanding though and I still have a position if I ever do find the time.
So without those extra things I'm feeling much more confident about taking care of everything else that I have to do. And my business won't suffer, which makes me happy!
And with school starting in about 2 weeks I'll be getting back into blogging! I miss it and enjoy the extra little outlet it gives me. :) I hope all my bloggy friends are doing well & I can't wait to see you around again!

The Ideal Sphere
I've been practicing my crochet skills a lot lately. The summer is when I need to have very portable projects to move around a lot with my boys and crochet really fits the bill. This summer I'm focusing on learning the basic design elements to amigurumi, which are crocheted dolls or animals.
One design element that is fairly frequently repeated are circles, balls, and spheres. In my searches I came across this awesome pattern. It is exactly as the name describes, an ideal sphere. Even if you aren't making amigurumi things then this makes the perfect toy ball, which is what I made to practice with! My boys love it and it was made with left over yarn so it was practically free to make. Love it! :)

Happy 4th of July!
My post from last year was extremely popular. I only have a few things to change and they would be the 236th anniversary of our independece and the fact that I can't kiss my soldier because he is deployed. :( Other then that... go check it out HERE! It's still a really fun post!

Knit Socks
I completed a project for myself (yay me!). I like to play with yarn in my spare time. (I find it kinda funny that as a 'hobby' from my hobby I create more stuff.) And sometimes I feel like 'spare time' is a foreign concept because I'm always so busy! I usually have to set aside a specific time to work on personal projects or they will just sit there... Anyways, here is my newest completed project!
I got a knitting loom awhile ago. I've made some small things but this is the first thing I made for myself. The thing about making socks is, you have to make 2! So, when one is done and you feel that sense of accomplishment and then you realize you have to make another... but it all worked out in the end. lol
These socks are really fun and as soon as I can complete some more of my WIP's (works in progress) then I'm going to make some more! :)
